Certified Weekly Payroll Requirements for Contractors/Subcontractors
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW: This workshop will cover payroll requirements while working on Davis-Bacon covered projects. Topics to be covered include: wage decisions, payroll reporting requirements, work classifications, additional classifications, documentation requirements, investigations, wage restitution, and much more.
Please attend if you are a contractor, subcontractor, or if you are responsible for completing, submitting, and/or reviewing payroll reports. If you are involved with HUD projects subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements, this training is for you!
Contractors/Subcontractors Did You Know?
There are many HUD contracting opportunities available in all areas
Self employed contractors are subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements and cannot certify to their own wages
All workers must be paid weekly while working on Davis-Bacon covered projects
All subcontractors and lower-tier subs must submit payrolls
Do you employ “Laborers or Mechanics”? If workers are using “tools of the trade” they must be paid accordingly
Helpers are no longer included on wage decisions. Workers are subject to on-site interviews by inspectors
What to do when classifications are not listed on the wage decision
Worker’s compensation is not a fringe benefit. What happens when things go wrong?
