• “Attending this conference really opened my eyes and showed me exactly what kind of different fields and jobs there are for my interests. I was able to communicate with people and ask specific questions to people who were already in fields such as computers, engineering, and information technology. I was introduced to different programs such as mentoring and internships, which can help me drastically in preparing for my life-long career in computer engineering. I hope to stay in touch with the people I met so that I can call and talk to them about job opportunities, internships, and just helping out with some of their everyday activities. Yesterday was a very fun and inspiring opportunity to learn more about what’s out there in the field of technology and computers.” —AP Computer Science Student
• “IT Day presented by Lockheed Martin gave us a unique opportunity to look into the technology of the modern workplace. The different booths demonstrated the ways technology could be applied in practically in the smallest of business ventures to multimillion-dollar government projects. Particularly for me, Lockheed Martin’s displays opened up a new career possibility for me. I have always wanted to be an astronaut, using some of the projects that Lockheed Martin created, but now I think that I would not mind being the part of the creation of their projects in aeronautics and aerospace on the design and engineering end of the spectrum. I am thankful that we were presented this opportunity from Lockheed Martin.”—AP Computer Science Student
• “It was very beneficial to me because I was able to talk to many people that knew a lot about the area of work that I would like to be involved in. There were many business people interested in helping young people like me be successful in the future. I now understand that because I want to be in the computer-engineering field, there are many jobs available that do not only with computers. I felt very involved and comfortable around the people there. These men and women were inspiration for me to keep striving to better myself and to one day become one of those business owners. IT Day was an interesting experience for me; an experience that I will carry with me for a long time.” —AP Computer Science Student
