An amended Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), #EN 12112009, for renewable energy demonstration projects has been released.

Several questions were received related to this FOA through the Additional Information period.  Those questions have been answered by MDA-ED and are posted online.  Due to the level of interest and the volume of questions, as well as the upcoming holiday season, MDA-ED has determined that it is in the best interest of the program and the public to extend the deadline for submission of proposals to Tuesday, January 5, 2010.

Addendum #2 addresses this deadline change as well as a clarification to the “Eligible Projects” section of the FOA.  This Addendum can be found at http://www.mississippi.org/index.php?id=718.  As stated on page 14 of the FOA, all amendments to the FOA must be acknowledged by the Proposer by signing and returning the addendum with the proposal.

This FOA falls under the Market Transportation and Technology Deployment category within the MDA-Energy Division State Energy Program and is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.  For more information about MDA-ED projects funded under ARRA, please visit http://stimulus.mississippi.org or call 601-359-6600.

The Mississippi Development Authority-Energy Division (MDA-ED) announces the release of the Technical Energy Audit Assistance (TEAA) Program under the Energy Efficiency and Community Block Grant (EECBG) Program.  Through the TEAA Program, MDA-ED will provide Mississippi municipalities and counties with energy audits of its public facilities to assist in making decisions regarding possible cost-saving energy efficiency projects.  The TEAA Program is only available to cities and counties not eligible for direct EECBG funding through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).  This project is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA).

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until June 15, 2012, or until all funds are exhausted.
